CBS - C&I - BD & CE Leadership :

Our Markets team focuses on providing account teams with the support they need to help drive revenue growth. Our "account-centric" approach to serving clients starts with understanding their business and providing tools and enablers to provide  consistency on how we identify and align our services and solutions to our clients' most pressing issues. We deliver services through one or more of our four global service lines: Assurance, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions and Tax. Our Markets team comprises of Business Development and Brand Media & Communication (BMC).

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

 

  • The Position: Client & Industries (Strategic Business Unit of EY India) Role: Client Excellence, Sales & Business Development for: Business Development Director for strategic accounts in India. The BD professional shall be responsible for sales of consulting services & Technology solutions across the entire business and competencies of EY in India. 1. Consulting (Management consulting, strategy consulting, Business & Growth Strategy, Risk Consulting, Technology Advisory & Technology implementations like GenAI, Digital, Analytics, Data warehouse, Cyber, Martch, CRM, etc.), 2. Mergers & Acquisition (Buyside & Sell side Advisory, valuations, fairness opinion, due diligence, post-merger integration) 3. Tax (tax advisory, compliances, litigation, direct & indirect tax) 4. Assurance Services (Fraud investigation & dispute services) (Designation as per internal HR structure fitment) Company: Ernst & Young LLP Reporting to: Nilesh Patil (India BD Leader for financial services) Position Summary:
  • This role is to drive results for the account team and the firm. The BD professional conducts rigorous account planning and management and works with an account team to drive relationships across the client’s organization to ensure client satisfaction. This includes leveraging the Firm’s key initiatives and cross-functional services for new business opportunities within the account.
  • The Business Development professional will be accountable for revenue growth, higher win rates, market share enhancement, client satisfaction and quality assurance procedures for the account. S/he will lead the entire pursuit and proposal process on their account. In the process, s/he will actively contribute to enhance the brand of the ‘Business Development Community’ and E&Y in India. Preferred experience profile of candidates Role: 15 years+ of BD / sales experience, selling consulting services or application implementation services. Selling to target accounts in India in last 3 to 5 year thus having strong active CXO level relationships Companies worked for:
  • Big 4 consulting firms,
  • Global Systems Integrators,
  • Indian Systems Integrators Key Relationships: CEO/ CSO/ CTO/ CDO/ CSO and Business Head The following profiles are NOT considered as suitable candidates 1. Candidates with infrastructure-related product sales experience e.g. hardware, servers, storage, networking, security, etc. 2. Candidates who have sold software products only without any related implementation experience 3. Candidates switch jobs frequently. We expect candidate should have spent 5 years stint on his entire experience. Specific Responsibilities: Business Development Professional’s key responsibilities are as follows:
  • Responsible for business development/pursuit process and will be a lead in formulating and executing the account strategies.
  • Create client specific solutions to meet specific business needs by integrating cross BU/Service Line solution offerings of E&Y.
  • Work with business operations team to oversee the development of proposals and direct the account coordinators on their assigned accounts
  • Works with the Global Client Service Partner and participate throughout the Client and Engagement life cycle.
  • Conduct the following client facing activities: o Initiate, build and sustain client relationships o Negotiate and participate in pricing strategy o Resolve concerns and ensure client satisfaction
  • Oversee delivery and continued relationships with clients. Drive projects with clients while managing the budget, timelines and quality of end deliverables.
  • Anticipate clients’ needs well beyond current engagements, adding value to the clients’ long-term business. Conduct issue-based sales.
  • Provide clients with advice on effective cost management and rationalize application portfolios. Act as a critical sounding board for clients on making investment decisions
  • Manage and collaborate with the internal partners and the business heads to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong global and cross border relationships. Identify opportunities and encourage sector teams to understand and achieve business goals.
  • Leadership experience in managing, monitoring and motivating sales teams. Build high performance teams.
