Senior Manager Medical & Scientific Affairs
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for scientific development of therapy area, product cycle management, data and concept generation, planning, and execution of medico- marketing activities, key opinion leader management, engage with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance in all HCP engagements.
Strategy
- Collect, consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs
- Lead the development of end‑to‑end brand medical strategies including launch strategy for India
- Partner closely with cross functional teams to ensure medical strategies are seamlessly integrated into business strategies and launch plans for execution
Operations
- Partner to build and review claims, promotional material, label, and ensure scientific and clinical accuracy
- Develop, review and approve content for HCP engagement
- Brand building through scientific activations
- Plan and execute medical education initiatives
- PSA approvals
- Training to internal team –Prima/ Magna etc
- Ensuring compliance for all HCP engagements
Data generation & dissemination
- Build and execute TA and product evidence generation & publication strategy
- Participate and build scientific content for medical sessions (including key scientific conferences)
Stakeholder engagement
- Partnership with cross functional team (RA/MSS/QA/Legal)
- Identify and build KOL engagement strategy
- Interact with Local key TA stakeholders in medical community (incl. KOLs, Medical scientific societies)
Compliance
- To review and approve all affiliate medical / scientific aspects of promotional material to ensure compliance with the Abbott SOPs and the country specific laws and regulations.
- To ensure all the medical and promotional activities are run in a compliant manner as per the internal guidelines, country regulations and local industry codes of promotional practices.

Experience Details
- Medical communication, publication, medico marketing, regulatory support, KOL engagement
- Experience in Medico marketing with reputed pharmaceutical company/nutrition company. Preferred earlier experience in a regional role in multinationals/Indian companies
- Should have qualities to anticipate problems and design effective solutions with proactive engagement with relevant stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve, work in teams, lead others toward defined objectives and present complex data clearly are also critical
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication, coordination, and time-management skills
- Effective presentation and organizational skills
