Role Purpose:

To design and develop end-to-end supply chain solutions during the RFQ process and post-award stages, translating business requirements into practical, scalable engineering designs. The role also ensures successful implementation by collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting operations, and driving continuous improvement across projects.

 

Designation: Senior Specialist Solution Engineering - Global Service

Base Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Manager - Solution Engineering

 

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Support the design of supply chain solutions for all new proposals translating customer requirements into operational solutions
• Design end to end warehouse solutions including, but not limited to data analysis, process flow diagrams, Headcount calculations (direct and indirect labour), facility layouts, Storage designs and other related activities
• Support the design manager in presenting technical solutions to customers , working closely with Indian and European team
• Support the creation of pricing structure / cost model that includes identifying cost components and populating the cost model with all identified cost components
• Actively support or lead the delivery of the engineering elements of new business launch including the creation of master data, process validation, infrastructure works, onboarding of plant teams and onsite contractor management.
• Support the design manager in investigating automation requirements as per business case
• Complete new MTM process assessments or update existing processes as required
• Act as a “trouble shooter” when required, identify pinch points or problem areas, ensure root cause analysis is completed where appropriate and corrective measures are implemented into operations.
• Able to work independently and under own initiative on any site and ensure the delivery of engineering obligations / requirements as dictated by region engineering management and local plant management
• Specialize on engineering processes, tools and techniques including MTM, AutoCAD, SketchUp modelling, visualisation & Excel Any activity or function as deemed within the scope and capability of the role in the support of engineering function or operations

Education & Qualifications:

•  Minimum 4+ yrs of experience in designing solutions for either of the indicated verticals - Automotive / Tech / Retail / FMCG/ Industrial / Chemical sectors
• Minimum 2+ yrs of experience to headcount modelling, warehouse layout and design
• Exposure towards cost models and pricing structure
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas), Word, Visio or equivalent, and Project Management software are required.
• Strong layout design capability with proficiency in using AutoCAD to design functional workings of solutions in 3D and 2D formats.
• Basic understanding of Automation and various concepts available in the market.
