The Role

As a Senior Telecommunications Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Position reports to: Sr. Telecom Engineer reports functionally to the assigned Lead Engineer of the project. He /she is administratively responsible to his I&C. Chief Engineer / HOD in the Engineering Department.
• Primary objective
  • Adherence to Quality Assurance system, applicable procedures, Design basis, Applicable design guides / Standards / Specifications as applicable.
  • Assistance to Lead Engineer.
  • Adherence to the committed schedule.
• Specific Accountabilities
  • Specifications for PA/GA systems, Telephone systems, LAN/IT, CCTV, Access Control System, EPABX systems, Wireless (UHF/VHF radio systems), Fiber optics.
  • Technical Bid Evaluation for above systems.
  • Vendor documents review.
  • Location layout drawings for the above systems.
  • Telecom Equipment Room Layouts.
  • Telecom System block diagrams.
  • Tray/Conduit routing and wiring.
  • Design of Communication cabinets and high-density fiber cabinets.
  • Calculations (Power Load and Heat rise, dB loss).
  • Fiber optic networks schematic diagrams.
  • Hands on experience on CCTV, PA/GA, Radio Coverage study software.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Degree in Instrument or telecom engineering.
• Telecommunication engineer 10 – 12+ year experience with exposure mentioned above.
• Preference will be given to candidates with work experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
