Strategic Sourcing - Buyer - Paint, Chemicals & NVH
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Roles and Responsibilities
- Industry know how-
- Knowledge of various commodities to understand trends in the market like, Paints, NVH, Adhesives, Sealant etc.
- Industry study, Product study, Technologies and Trends, Spend analysis, Design and cost drivers, M&M Business needs, Strategy Options, Strategy recommendations and approval
- Cost Management –
- Knowledge of Paint, chemicals & NVH formulations and technical details about the same
- Negotiation, alternate sourcing, localization, VAVE
- Capacity Management - Detailed capacity analysis, Gap analysis and action planning and effective execution
- Supplier Management -Onsite supplier assessments, identification of Gaps, action planning and monitoring
- Adherence to Statutory requirement for Audit
- Legal knowledge is added advantage

- In-depth knowledge of Sourcing
- Knowledge of Paint , NVH & Sealant supplier industry, mfg. processes
- Knowledge of Supplier base about auto ancillaries in India
- SOR study & technical analysis of SOR/PART/SYSTEMs
- Quote synthesis & Supplier selection
- Estimation as well as negotiation of part & tool cost (part, Dies & fixture)
- Analytical & Problem-solving skills
- Expert in SAP/MS office
- Commodity knowledge, Technology trends, Industry knowledge, Supplier base, Commercial knowledge, Environmental Analysis
