As a Team Member-Risk, you will be an integral part of our Risk Management team, working closely with various departments to assess and manage risks effectively. Your primary focus will be on commercial risk, ensuring the bank's financial transactions and operations are protected. You will play a vital role in maintaining the bank's reputation and financial stability.- Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential risks across various business lines.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify emerging risks.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their risk profiles and provide risk management advice.
- Prepare risk reports and present findings to senior management, offering actionable recommendations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes, ensuring the bank's risk management framework is current.
- Conduct regular risk reviews and audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure effective risk management practices.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, providing necessary information and support during audits and inspections.
- Train and educate colleagues on risk management principles and practices, fostering a risk-aware culture.
- Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, mitigation plans, and related documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and techniques, including statistical analysis and risk modeling.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the banking industry.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and best practices in risk management.
