Assistant Manager - Cell Quality
Responsibilities
Safety:
- Follow and promote safety guidelines during inspections and quality checks, contributing to a safe work environment.
In-Process Inspections:
- Conduct in-process quality inspections during assigned shifts to ensure compliance with quality standards at stages like texturing, anti-reflective coating (ARC) application, and metallization. Monitor critical process parameters and identify deviations from standards.
Quality Monitoring:
- Monitor production processes to identify quality issues, reporting findings to the Cluster Manager - IPQA. Assist in implementing corrective actions to address in-process quality deviations.
Calibration & Validation:
- Validation of test results and if required, calibration of AOI, Testers (IV curve measurements), weighing balance, & other measurement tool.
Recipe Management:
- Defect teaching to AOI and breakage camera
Benchmarking:
- Benchmarking with competitor cells.
Documentation:
- Record in-process quality data and perform initial analysis to identify trends and issues. Report data and findings to the Cluster Manager - IPQA for further analysis and action.
Compliance:
- Ensure incoming materials comply with relevant industry standards and specifications. Stay updated on quality standards and inspection protocols specific to solar cell manufacturing.
Training and Support:
- Provide on-the-job training to production staff on in-process quality procedures and standards. Ensure consistent application of quality protocols across all shifts and production lines.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with the IPQA team to implement changes. Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma or B.E/B.Tech in Chemical/Electrical Engineering.
Work Experience (Range of years):
- 2-5 years in production or quality assurance, focusing on in-process inspections.
