Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Construction Electrical Team Member is tasked with executing and coordinating electrical jobs across various units and off-sites. This role ensures the efficient implementation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems while providing crucial technical support and site inputs. The Construction Electrical Team Member contributes to the overall success of electrical installations by adhering to project schedules, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and effectively
Construction Electrical Team Member-PETCHEM
Site Operations & Oversight:
Execute and coordinate electrical jobs on-site, including cable laying and substation creation, ensuring timely completion.
Monitor and control execution tasks performed by contractors to meet defined timelines and quality standards.
Project Planning & Coordination:
Plan electrical jobs, including layout of power generating infrastructure, distribution lines, and substations.
Coordinate with various teams to implement electrical systems and ensure alignment with project schedules.
Technical Design Review:
Prepare and review electrical load lists, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules.
Perform power system studies (short circuit, coordination, motor starting, arc flash, harmonics) using ETAP.
Conduct insulation coordination, transient studies, and calculations for equipment sizing, UPS, cable sizing, lighting, grounding, and heat tracing.
Design and check single lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical details.
Compliance, Quality & Safety Management:
Ensure adherence to IPC standards and statutory compliance for electrical installations.
Conduct quality checks of electrical materials and verify contract bills to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Risk & Change Management:
Identify and address potential risks related to electrical jobs, providing solutions and technical support as needed.
Manage changes to electrical job scopes, ensuring timely adjustments and documentation.
Team Management:
Provide guidance and support to contractors and team members involved in electrical job execution.
Coordinate with the Engineering and Design teams to provide site inputs for electrical drawings and project requirements.
Commissioning, Handover & Post-construction Support:
Support pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems.
Ensure successful commissioning and handover of electrical systems to the client, addressing any issues that arise during the process.
