Job Purpose:

The Control Room Operator at the Continuous Cast Rod (CCR) Plant is essential for overseeing the real-time operations and ensuring the production efficiency of the plant. Utilizing advanced Distributed Control Systems (DCS), this role is responsible for monitoring and adjusting production parameters, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and facilitating seamless communication between field operations and the control room. The operator plays a critical role in process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a robust understanding of safety and regulatory compliance, making it pivotal for maintaining the plant's operational integrity and achieving production targets.

• Ensure safe work environment at CCR                            
• Ensure a clean work environment/ Developing systems for sustainable operation                              
• Daily accounting of Metal balance by taking inventory of Cathodes/scrap/Rejected coil/FG Coil                      
• Ensure timely booking of Coils both accepted & rejected /booking of cathodes & revert charged in furnace/revert generated in casting. Also execute various inward & outward transfer of materials            
• Reduction of inventory by proper plan to charge in CCR & transfer to smelter                      
• Physical verification of WIP /Cathodes/Rejected coils & maintain data in SAP                      
• Physical verification of various packing & casting consumables & plan for procurement with Central planning team                  
• Proper Planning of consumables to prevent any downtime due to lack of consumables                     
• Ensure the quality of packaging material & pallet to prevent any coil damage due to poor packing 

Education Qualification:

• Graduate Engineer / BSc in any discipline . Preferable to have knowledge on computer. 
• Excel sheets, SAP/Oracle

Work Experience (Range of years):

•  3 to 8 yrs in planning & keeping record of input raw material & output finished goods.
