Assistant Manager - Refractory

ü Assigning tasks, managing resources and ensuring smooth operations during shift
ü Coordinate activities among the team members and departments to ensure that refractory maintenance should be completed on time and according to the schedule ü Installing refractories and anti-corrosion lining within required timelines without compromising quality and HSE norms
ü Implementing all preventive maintenance activities as per schedule in a shift.  ü Monitoring & recording the refractory consumption at Shift level.
ü Monitor the Inventory levels and eliminate wastage ü Supporting operations teams in compliances related to statutes and EHS norms
ü Implementing safety culture through use of PPEs and safe work processes and minimizing safety incidents and eliminating accidents at working area. ü Ensuring availability of equipment within minimum turnaround time in case of breakdown of refractories
ü Ensuring material availability for the regular shift activity. ü Implementation of good housekeeping practices in areas of operation.
ü Improvement activities such as kaizen, quality and suggestions for the process improvement etc. ü Monitoring manpower performance and identifying development action need for refractory application vendors.
ü Monitoring & training of team members to enhance technical competencies and embed a culture of safety among working team.
ü Embedding 5S work culture.

 

B. Tech/Diploma ceramic/metallurgical Engineering

3-4 years(B. Tech), 6-7 Years(diploma) Refractory maintenance experience at Steel, Copper & aluminum industries.

Good knowledge at application of different refractories products. Safety precaution for confined space & hot metal job. Adequate knowledge about industrial permit system.
