Job Description

Associate Manager - Fabrication

Responsibilities

Construction Fab shop& Precasting& Batching Plant Senior Team Member-PETCHEM

Site Operations & Oversight:

Enhance fabrication performance by supervising daily operations, including CNC machining, blasting, and painting, to optimize productivity and quality.

Ensure quality and compliance by inspecting raw materials and overseeing their use in fabrication, adhering to project requirements and standards.

Streamline procurement processes by creating Service PR and Material PR in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate acquisition of materials and services.

Resolve operational issues effectively by managing equipment availability, material handling, and quality control, while adhering to safety standards.

Project Planning & Coordination:

Achieve efficient project execution by developing and implementing detailed project plans and schedules for piping projects, effectively allocating resources, and coordinating design parameters and fabrication sequencing.

Maintain project data accuracy by updating the piping and structure database for effective tracking and management.

Technical Design Review:

Ensure welding procedures, and overseeing the implementation of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) prior to fabrication.

Advance fabrication accuracy and efficiency through the application of innovative techniques and advanced equipment.

Compliance, Quality & Safety Management

Maintain high safety and quality standards by implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting regular audits, and addressing quality issues in compliance with HSE standards and industry regulations.

Budget & Cost Control:

Ensure financial efficiency by preparing and monitoring budgets, addressing variances, and implementing cost-saving measures to align with project financial goals.

Support budget management by preparing and verifying measuring certifications, bills, and consumption reports for piping, structure, Painting, Precast and Batching Plant jobs.

Risk & Change Management:

Minimize fabrication risks by identifying potential risks related to materials, and design changes, and developing effective risk mitigation strategies.

Manage project changes effectively by addressing changes in scope and technical details, ensuring thorough risk assessments and robust mitigation strategies.

Post-construction Support:

Provide ongoing support by resolving fabrication-related issues post-construction to ensure a seamless transition to operational phases.

Team Management:

Enhance team performance by organizing and assigning work, providing guidance, resolving queries, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience (Range of years):

Minimum of 10-12 years of fabrication experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Chemical sector.

Hands-on experience managing at least two oil & gas projects as a Fabrication Engineer.

Experience in handling piping spools and pipe fabrication, Structural fabrication, Batching Plant , Precast and QA-QC

Proficient in computer usage, including MS Office and PowerPoint.
