Officer - Operations & Maintenance
Responsibilities
Shift in charge - Boiler Chemistry
Operational Excellence and Process Management:
Execute daily operations of SWAS system, CPU system, Stator Water System, CCCW system, FGD, SCR, H2 plant and CW (Circulating Water) during the shift.
Monitor rotating equipment and track its operating parameters to prevent breakdowns.
Conduct data entry, maintain accurate shift reports and daily MIS reports for SWAS system, CPU system, Stator Water System, CCCW system, FGD, SCR and H2 plant.
Manage and coordinate with business associates and contribute to their development.
Maintenance Coordination:
Execute the isolation and normalization of any equipment which is under maintenance for PTW systems.
Raise defect notifications in SAP during the shift to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
Authorize permits to the maintenance team for necessary work during the shift.
Coordinate with the shift chemistry teams for smooth operations and execution of activities.
Implement work instructions to carry out plant operations as per SOP and guidelines.
Emergency Handling:
Handle emergencies during the shift.
Execute start/stop the plant in case of critical emergencies, making critical decisions in consultation with senior management.
Business Sustainability:
Implement and Follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
Maintain safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
Ensure operations are in line with statutory compliances and company policies.
Implement and enforce environmental and sustainability policies to minimize the impact on the environment.
Digitization and Automation:
Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.
Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc./B.Sc./B.Tech in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in water chemistry or industrial chemistry preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
4+ years of experience.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in Thermal Power Plant or similar industry.
