Job Purpose: The Shift Engineer - Backend is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing production processes, and driving continuous improvement. They play a key role in minimizing risks, maintaining high-quality standards, and improving cost efficiency. The role includes managing BOM and cell yield, ensuring timely project execution, supporting team development, and adhering to safety, quality, and production targets.

EHS Inspection:

• Conduct site inspections to identify hazards, ensure safety compliance, and support timely project execution.

Site Inspection Management:

• Identify and resolve unsafe conditions and near misses promptly to minimize risks and incidents.

PPE Compliance:

• Ensure full compliance with safety standards and avoid injuries or incidents through correct PPE usage.

Production Planning:

• Adhere strictly to production schedules, optimizing throughput and ensuring no deviations from planned targets.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure minimal pre-EL rework, maintain low NG string generation, and stay within downgrading budgets while maintaining 5S standards.

Cost :

• Ensure that weekly reconciliation discrepancies are minimized to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent cost overruns.

BOM:

• Focus on reducing BOM losses by optimizing material usage, preventing waste, and ensuring materials are used efficiently to stay within budget.

Cell Yield :

• Continuously optimize cell yield by improving processes and minimizing loss, ensuring maximum efficiency.

Quality Circle (QCC):

• Lead and complete Quality Circle projects to address and resolve process inefficiencies for continuous improvement.

Safety Circle:

• Complete Safety Circle projects to identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions for a safer work environment.

5S Self-Assessment:

• Ensure all team members complete regular 5S self-assessments to maintain cleanliness, organization, and process efficiency.

Lakshya Project:

• Ensure successful completion of Lakshya projects, meeting project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Multiskilling of Operators:

• Train operators on multiple functions to ensure full shift coverage and improve operational flexibility.

TNI & Soft Skills Training:

• Achieve compliance with TNI and soft skill training programs to ensure employee development and performance improvement.

Educational Qualification:

• Min 2-5 years in frontend module production, focusing on cell placement, stringing, and quality assurance in solar manufacturing.
