Senior Engineer - Quality Blade Plant
Responsibilities
Execution of NDT for Blade Components
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on blade components, including ultrasonic testing (UT), thermographic inspection, and shearography, to detect internal defects.
- Analyze NDT results to identify delamination's, voids, cracks, and other anomalies that could affect blade performance.
Calibration and Maintenance of NDT Equipment
- Ensure all NDT equipment, including ultrasonic probes and thermal cameras, are properly calibrated and maintained according to industry standards.
- Conduct regular equipment checks to verify functionality and accuracy of measurements.
Reporting of NDT Findings
- Maintain detailed records of all NDT inspections, including test results, defect locations, and corrective action recommendations.
- Prepare reports that summarize findings and provide insights into the quality of blade components.
Support Corrective Actions and Re-Inspection
- Assist in implementing corrective actions for defects detected during NDT, such as repairs or rework of blade components.
- Conduct re-inspections to verify the effectiveness of corrective measures and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Compliance with NDT Standards
- Ensure all NDT activities comply with relevant standards, including ISO 9712 (Qualification of NDT Personnel) and internal blade manufacturing specifications.
- Stay updated on advancements in NDT technology and best practices to continuously improve inspection processes.
Training and Development Support
- Assist in training new NDT inspectors on the correct use of equipment and interpretation of test results.
- Participate in continuous learning to enhance NDT skills and stay updated on emerging technologies in blade QA.
Collaboration with QA and Production Teams
- Work closely with QA engineers and production teams to address quality issues identified during NDT inspections.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving complex quality challenges in blade manufacturing.
Safety and Operational Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols during NDT inspections, including the use of PPE and safe operation of NDT equipment.
- Ensure that all NDT tasks are performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
Work Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in NDT for blade manufacturing or similar industries.
Industry Knowledge:
- Expertise in NDT techniques, defect analysis, and compliance with NDT standards.
