Job Purpose: The Shift Engineer - Taskforce ensures smooth production operations by overseeing safety, quality, and efficiency. This role focuses on optimizing throughput, minimizing downtime, and leading safety interactions. The engineer will also support continuous improvement, handle production issues, and collaborate on multiskilling efforts to maintain operational flexibility and meet production targets.
Safety Interactions:
- Conduct safety interactions regularly, engaging employees in safety practices and fostering a safety-first culture to raise awareness and minimize risks.
PPE Compliance:
- Ensure full adherence to PPE requirements across all personnel on site, promoting a culture of safety and compliance with health and safety standards to avoid injuries.
Safety:
- Proactively identify and report near miss incidents to address potential hazards before they lead to accidents, enhancing the safety environment and preventing future risks.
Throughput Achievement:
- Achieve daily and monthly throughput targets by optimizing production processes, minimizing downtime, and maintaining efficiency to support overall production goals.
Stringer Uptime:
- Ensure optimal uptime of stringers by addressing maintenance issues, optimizing machine performance, and minimizing downtime to keep production flowing smoothly.
5S Compliance and Improvement:
- Ensure zone members complete required 5S self-assessments, maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency, and implement improvements to sustain high 5S standards.
Production Quality Management:
- Minimize pre-EL rework and string rejection by optimizing production processes, identifying defects early, and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce waste.
Quality Control and Customer Satisfaction:
- Reduce final rework and customer complaints by improving quality control, addressing defects early, and responding promptly to customer concerns, ensuring high-quality products and satisfaction.
Quality Circle Completion (QCC):
- Lead and complete QCC projects, identifying and solving process inefficiencies through team collaboration, continuous improvement, and achieving operational excellence.
Lakshya Project Completion:
- Complete Lakshya projects on time, meeting all project objectives, timelines, and deliverables to drive continuous improvement and organizational development.
Multiskilling of Operators:
- Collaborate with HR to ensure critical stations are staffed with multiskilled operators, ensuring full shift coverage and operational flexibility across the production lines.
TNI and Soft Skill Training:
- Ensure compliance with TNI and timely completion of Soft Skill/E-vidyalaya training, with feedback mechanisms in place for employee development and performance enhancement.

Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech/Diploma – Engineering or Technical Discipline.
- Desired Qualification: BE/B.Tech.
Work Experience (Range of years):
- Min 8-12 years in production engineering or support roles, addressing equipment issues and process improvements in manufacturing.
