Shift In-charge – Instrumentation - Copper

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to execute and manage preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of control and instrumentation systems during their respective shifts, ensuring optimal system performance and adherence to safety protocols. The role also involves managing vendor contractors, providing team training, effectively utilizing resources, and driving the integration of digital solutions for enhanced maintenance and process improvements.
Shift In-charge - Instrumentation – Copper
Breakdown and Routine Maintenance:
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of control and instrumentation systems within the respective shifts to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of control systems, implementing necessary adjustments to enhance process efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in control and instrumentation equipment swiftly to minimize operational downtime and maintain system integrity.
Safety Adherence:
- Adhere to established safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted following safety regulations and best practices.
- Foster a culture of safety within the team by conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Promptly report and investigate any safety incidents or near-misses to improve safety measures and prevent future occurrences.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring that their services meet the required standards and specifications.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of services and materials.
- Document and maintain accurate records of inventory, including equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
Training and Resource Utilization:
- Provide training and mentorship to team members and contractual workforce, enhancing their skills and ensuring effective utilization of resources.
- Ensure optimal use of manpower, tools, and equipment to achieve maintenance goals and maintain system efficiency.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in control and instrumentation technologies and integrate relevant innovations into maintenance practices.
Special Projects and Digitization:
- Manage and contribute to special projects related to control and instrumentation systems, including system upgrades and process improvements.
- Drive the adoption of digital tools and solutions to enhance maintenance processes, data analysis, and system performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, system performance, and project outcomes, providing regular reports to the Section Incharge.

Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
Work Experience (Range of years):
5-12 years of experience in maintenance operations in Copper Industry
Certifications:
- Professional certification in Control and Instrumentation maintenance is preferred
