Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to oversee and perform maintenance of machines and equipment in our gear manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime of CNC machines, gear hobbing, gear grinding, heat treatment, and other critical production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
• Troubleshoot in electrical and Electronics aspect of the machines like:
• CNC turning and machining centers
• Gear hobbing, shaping, grinding, and shaving machines
• Heat treatment furnaces (e.g., carburizing, induction hardening)
• Compressors, DG sets, and other plant utilities
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Ensure minimum downtime and quick response to machine breakdowns.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to minimize maintenance impact on operations.
• Implement energy-saving measures and machine reliability improvements.
• Liaise with OEMs and external service providers for major repairs or AMC.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO/IATF norms, and statutory regulations.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on experience in maintenance within a gear or precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, electrical schematics, and service documentation.
• Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and maintenance best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance software (e.g., CMMS).

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge and experience in automation systems.
• Strong problem-solving and team coordination abilities.
• Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.
