Job Description
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
- Install electrical panels, switches, sockets, lighting systems, and distribution boards.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing equipment.
- Replace damaged electrical components such as cables, breakers, fuses, relays, and switches.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage testing.
- Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, and equipment in good working condition.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and restore power safely and efficiently.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety practices.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians during installation and maintenance work.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of the work area after completing the job.
- Report equipment defects, safety hazards, and material requirements to the supervisor.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety guidelines.
- Assist in commissioning and testing newly installed electrical systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Required Skills:Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
