Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic O&M Engineering professional to join the team managing the 320{ MW} facility at NTPC Mouda (comprising \times 500{ MW} subcritical and times 660\{ MW} supercritical units). You will be responsible for ensuring high plant availability, optimizing heat rate efficiency, and leading routine or breakdown maintenance across critical utility systems. For Operation Profile: Shift Operations: Safely manage continuous unit operations from the Central Control Room (CCR) following strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Parameter Optimization: Monitor and control critical parameters (e.g., main steam temperature/pressure, vacuum, and drum levels) to maximize plant efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Execute desk actions during emergencies, trips, or transient conditions while enforcing the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- For Maintenance Profile:Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Handle routine, preventive, and shutdown maintenance of high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, or electrical systems (switchgears, transformers, and HT/LT motors).
- Sub-system Upkeep: Supervise the troubleshooting of specialized auxiliary networks, including the Coal Handling Plant (CHP), Ash Handling Plant (AHP), and Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
- Materials & Spares: Manage inventory requirements, coordinate with OEMs (like BHEL), and draft detailed technical specifications for procurement.
- Candidate Requirements Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized university.
- Certifications: Boiler Operation Engineers (BOE) certification is highly desirable for operation profiles.
- Core Competencies: Clear understanding of thermal cycles, plant interlocks, DCS operations, and industrial safety regulations.
