Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimum downtime, and safe plant operations. The role involves leading maintenance technicians, maintaining machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the production team to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.
• Allocate work assignments, monitor technician performance, and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor maintenance costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment.
• Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement programs.
• Ensure calibration and inspection of critical equipment as per quality standards.
• Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, and downtime analysis for management review.
• Required Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, utilities, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLCs, motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an advantage.
