Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Maintain inventory control of raw materials, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and finished goods.
- Track and reduce production delays, bottlenecks, and wastage.
- Prepare MIS reports on production status, capacity utilization, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with stores and logistics teams for dispatch planning.
- Implement process improvements for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
- Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Production Planning & Control in a manufacturing setup.
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Understanding of inventory management techniques (FIFO, JIT, MRP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)On-time production & delivery rate
