CNC Machine Operator

Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra

Experience Required: Experienced (must have prior hands-on experience on CNC wood/stone machines, specifically 3-axis)

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced CNC Operator to operate and set up 3-axis CNC machines for wood and stone applications. The ideal candidate must have proven experience working on these machines and be comfortable handling daily machine operations, tool changes, job setup, and quality checks to ensure accurate output.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate 3-axis CNC machines for wood and stone cutting, routing, milling, and engraving (as applicable).
• Perform job setup using drawings/CAD files and machine documentation.
• Set work offsets, zero points, coordinate systems, and ensure correct alignment.
• Select correct cutters/tools, speeds, feeds, and work parameters for different materials.
• Load/unload materials safely and securely, ensuring proper clamping/holding.
• Perform routine machine checks and minor troubleshooting to keep production running.
• Monitor machining process to prevent defects such as chipping, cracking, inaccurate cuts, or burn marks.
• Verify dimensions using basic measuring tools (calipers, scale, templates, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and basic housekeeping around CNC work area.
• Follow shop safety standards including PPE, safe tool handling, and machine operating procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines for wood and/or stone.
• Must have previously worked on 3-axis CNC machines (experience with 4/5-axis is a plus, but not required).
• Knowledge of tooling selection, feeds/speeds, offsets, and basic programming/support (if required by the role).
• Ability to read drawings and job instructions and execute setup accordingly.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good safety awareness and ability to work in a production environment.
• Ability to assist with CAM/program adjustments if needed.
