Job Description
About Us: Hitech Tyres is an established MRF dealership and tyre retreading business in Nagpur. We serve transport companies, fleet operators, mining contractors, and infrastructure project sites across Central India. We're expanding our OTR (Off-The-Road) tyre business and looking for a field sales executive who can build direct relationships with mining companies, coal field operators, construction contractors, and heavy equipment fleet owners.
Role: This is a field sales role, not a counter sales role. You will spend most of your working days traveling to client sites — mines, construction projects, transport yards, workshops, and contractor offices — building relationships, generating orders, and servicing existing accounts. If you prefer sitting in a shop, this role is not for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to mining sites, coal fields, quarries, construction projects, and transport company offices across Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, Gondia, Wardha, and Chhattisgarh border districts (Rajnandgaon, Durg, Korba area)
- Build and maintain relationships with purchase managers, site in-charges, fleet managers, and procurement officers at mining companies (including WCL subsidiaries, private mining contractors, and infra project sites)
- Generate new business for MRF tyres (new sales) and retreading services, with focus on OTR sizes (17.5-25, 23.5-25, 16.00-24, etc.)
- Understand customer requirements — tyre sizes, usage patterns, replacement cycles, retread preferences
- Provide quotations, negotiate pricing within approved limits, and close orders
- Coordinate with our office for delivery scheduling, billing, and after-sales service
- Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain customer relationship health
- Report daily/weekly activity — client visits, orders generated, pipeline status
- Represent Hitech Tyres at trade events, mining expos, and industry meetings when relevant
- Identify and onboard new dealers/sub-dealers in smaller towns where direct presence is limited
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of field sales experience, preferably in tyres, lubricants, heavy equipment parts, mining consumables, or industrial products sold to B2B clients
- Willingness and ability to travel 15-20 days a month — this is the most important requirement
- Own vehicle (two-wheeler mandatory; four-wheeler preferred) — fuel/travel expenses reimbursed
- Valid driving license — LMV at minimum
- Comfortable with long-distance travel, staying overnight at site towns when needed
- Strong communication skills in Hindi, Marathi, and basic English (some mining correspondence is in English; site-level communication is mostly Hindi)
- Confident in negotiating with senior buyers — purchase managers and contractors are seasoned; the role needs someone who can hold their ground on price and terms
- Basic understanding of tyres, commercial vehicles, or heavy equipment — or strong willingness to learn quickly
- Education: 12th pass minimum; Graduate (any stream) preferred
- Age 25-40 preferred
- Physically fit — mining and construction sites involve rough terrain, dust, heat
Good to Have:
- Prior experience selling to mining companies, WCL, SECL, or infrastructure contractors — this is the strongest differentiator
- Existing relationships with fleet managers, purchase teams, or site in-charges in Vidarbha/Chhattisgarh region
- Knowledge of OTR tyres, retread industry, or heavy equipment
- Experience working with MRF, Apollo, JK, CEAT, Bridgestone, or similar tyre brands
- Basic computer/smartphone skills — sending quotes, maintaining client list, WhatsApp coordination
- Valid passport (not mandatory, but useful for future business travel)
