Overview

An interior designer works with clients to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interior environments in homes, offices, retail stores, hotels, and other spaces. They combine creativity with technical knowledge to transform spaces based on client needs, budgets, and building regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget
• Develop design concepts, layouts, and mood boards
• Create drawings, 3D models, or plans using software like AutoCAD or SketchUp
• Select furniture, materials, colors, lighting, and décor elements
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards and building codes
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers
• Manage project timelines and oversee installations
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and make adjustments
