Mechanic Motor Vehicle

The 2-Wheeler Mechanic is responsible for performing routine servicing, mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting on motorcycles and scooters. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, timely delivery, and adherence to OEM service standards to maximize customer satisfaction and reduce repeat jobs.

• Key Responsibilities1. Vehicle Servicing & RepairsPerform periodic maintenance services (PMS) as per OEM guidelines.
• Carry out mechanical repairs including engine work, clutch, brakes, suspension, transmission, and chassis.
• Handle electrical repairs, wiring issues, battery checks, and charging system diagnostics.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and ensure vehicles meet quality standards.
• 2. Diagnostics & TroubleshootingUse diagnostic tools to identify issues in FI systems, sensors, and ECU-controlled components.
• Perform root-cause analysis to avoid repeat complaints.
• Document findings and communicate clearly with the Service Advisor.
• 3. Quality & Process ComplianceFollow OEM repair procedures, torque specs, and service checklists.
• Ensure all replaced parts are correctly recorded and returned as per policy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work bay.
• 4. Customer SatisfactionSupport the Service Advisor in explaining technical issues when required.
• Ensure zero repeat jobs by delivering accurate and complete repairs.
• Uphold workshop discipline, safety norms, and professional behavior.
• 5. Productivity & PerformanceAchieve daily job targets and maintain high productivity levels.
• Participate in technical trainings, skill upgrades, and new model training sessions.
• Assist in upselling consumables, AMC, and value-added services when appropriate.
• Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of 2-wheeler mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
• Familiarity with FI systems, sensors, and basic diagnostic tools.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
