Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing daily financial activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth financial operations of the company. This role supports decision-making by providing clear financial data and helps maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting entries and financial transactions

Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments

Prepare and update financial statements and reports

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

Ensure timely billing and follow-up on outstanding payments

Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records

Support GST filing, tax compliance, and statutory requirements

Coordinate with internal teams for financial data and approvals

Assist in budgeting and expense tracking

Monitor cash flow and report any issues

Support audits by providing required documents and information

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of financial records and reports

Timely completion of accounting tasks and filings

Error-free data entry and reconciliation

Effective management of receivables and payables

Compliance with tax and regulatory requirements

Responsiveness and coordination with team members

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field

Basic knowledge of accounting principles

1–3 years of experience is an advantage

Skills & Abilities

Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Basic knowledge of accounting and finance

Time management and ability to meet deadlines

Problem-solving mindset

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Basic computer knowledge (Excel, MS Office)
