Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
To lead the store team in achieving sales targets, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining visual merchandising standards, controlling inventory, and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Performance
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Drive store profitability and improve conversion rates.
- Monitor average bill value (ABV), units per transaction (UPT), and other retail KPIs.
- Plan local promotional activities and sales initiatives.
- Analyze sales reports and identify growth opportunities.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance.
- Conduct daily briefings and motivate the team.
- Set individual sales goals and monitor performance.
- Handle staff discipline and performance feedback.
Customer Service
- Ensure a high standard of customer experience.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Build customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional store environment.
Visual Merchandising
- Ensure proper display of merchandise as per brand guidelines.
- Maintain attractive window displays and mannequin presentations.
- Coordinate seasonal launches, promotions, and sale displays.
- Monitor store cleanliness and presentation standards.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and replenish fast-moving items.
- Conduct stock audits and cycle counts.
- Minimize shrinkage, pilferage, and stock losses.
- Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain teams.
- Ensure accurate stock records in the POS system.
Operations & Compliance
- Open and close the store as per company procedures.
- Ensure cash handling accuracy and banking procedures.
- Maintain statutory and company compliance requirements.
- Ensure safety, security, and housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate maintenance of store fixtures and equipment.
Reporting
- Submit daily sales and operational reports.
- Report stock shortages, damages, and customer feedback.
- Track target achievement and expense control.
- Provide regular updates to the Area/Regional Manager.
