Account Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant to support our finance and accounts department in day-to-day accounting operations. The candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts, vouchers, and supporting documents
• Prepare and process sales and purchase invoices
• Record day-to-day accounting entries in accounting software
• Assist in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation
• Follow up on receivables and payables
• Support GST-related work such as data preparation, returns, and reconciliations
• Assist in TDS entries and basic statutory compliance
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments for accounts-related matters
• Support audits by preparing required documents and reports
• Maintain proper filing of financial records (physical and digital)

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance (preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally)
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic communication and coordination skills
