Carpenter

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine furniture dimensions and requirements
• Select appropriate wood materials and hardware based on project specifications
• Measure, cut, shape, and join wood components with precision to meet quality standards
• Assemble furniture pieces using various joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, and dowel joints
• Sand, finish, and apply stains or protective coatings to completed furniture
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality control standards
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with production team members to meet manufacturing schedules and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of carpentry or woodworking experience, preferably in furniture manufacturing
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power woodworking equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of wood properties, joinery techniques, and finishing methods
