Job Title: MRD Executive

Job Summary
The MRD (Medical Records Department) Incharge is responsible for managing and maintaining patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role involves supervising MRD staff, streamlining record-keeping processes, and supporting hospital operations through efficient data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Medical Records Department (MRD)
- Ensure accurate and timely collection, documentation, and filing of patient records
- Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records as per legal and ethical standards
- Supervise MRD staff and ensure proper training and performance management
- Manage record retrieval, storage, and archiving systems (physical and digital)
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for documentation needs
- Handle medico-legal cases and ensure proper documentation and record safety
- Implement and improve medical record systems and processes
- Prepare reports and MIS related to patient data and department performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management / Medical Records / Healthcare Administration or related field
- Certification in Medical Records Management (preferred)
- Experience1–2 years of experience in Medical Records Department
- Prior experience in a supervisory or in charge role preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards
- Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) and EMR software
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Understanding of legal and compliance aspects of medical records
