Purpose Statement

Responsible to do the routine & non-routine (Project, modification, shutdown & breakdown) electrical works i.e. repair, troubleshoot, functional testing, installation, removal, connection in field & shop floor for improving the operational efficiency of electrical equipment

Key Role & Responsibilities - Responsible for condition monitoring of critical motors, transformers, semi critical motors & capacitors as per schedule and report the

deviations to the supervisor - Act (resolve in consultation) on deviations / problems reported by production team under the supervision of Supervisor / Engineer

and updates results to superiors as well as production team

- Install/remove the new or defective electrical equipment with the support of allocated contract agency (in case of heavy equipment)

as per instructions from the seniors - Contribute in management of spares inventory and ensure timely collection/deposition of electrical equipment s at stores - Conduct functional test of newly received electrical equipment under the guidance of Supervisor / Engineers - Ensure reliable power source to electrical equipment & systems, share deviations with superiors by measuring with the

instruments as per parameters - Take energy meter reading plant wise for power generation, receiving and consumption, also maintain Diesel stock and

communicate the supervisor - Isolate & restore electrical connection, based on process & maintenance requirements Maintain plant & office lighting, earthing pits &

earthing systems - Inspect & certify the portable tools of contractors i.e. welding machine, drilling machine etc. and maintain the identification tags of the

devices - Repair & test defective electrical equipment in field & workshop and support the supervisor / engineer during troubleshooting in systems - Maintain housekeeping in area of ownership, i.e. electrical equipment, MCC/PCC/UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) rooms with the help

of contract workforce - Initiate height/cold work permit and co-ordinate with supervisor - Participate & contribute in work place safety by conducting JSA(Job safety analysis), toolbox talk, contract employee safety, BBS (Behaviour

based safety), RCA(Root cause analysis)
