Medical Transcriptionist

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings from doctors and healthcare professionals into accurate medical reports.
• Prepare documents such as patient histories, discharge summaries, operative notes, consultation reports, and diagnostic reports.
• Review and edit reports for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and medical terminology.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of reports.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA or applicable healthcare data privacy regulations.
• Work with transcription software and electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (Healthcare background preferred).
• Preferred qualifications: DMLT, PGDMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or other allied healthcare courses.
• Freshers with good medical terminology knowledge and typing skills are welcome to apply.

Required Skills

• Excellent English listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and transcription software.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in pathology, radiology, or histopathology transcription.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Knowledge of quality standards in medical documentation.
