Job Description
Job Duties
· Reads and interprets engineering drawings.
· Inputs the design specifications.
· Inputs numeric program on the VMC machines.
· Chooses and loads the correct cutting tools for the job.
· Performs routine machine maintenance.
· Troubleshoots any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
· Oversees the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary
changes to produce improved results.
Job / Knowledge Requirements
· ITI or NCTVT.
· Knowledge of Mastercam/Delcam/Surface Cam.
· Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience as a VMC programmer.
Skill Requirements
· Ability to choose proper tooling.
· Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
