Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounts and take independent ownership of vendor payment coordination and follow-ups. The ideal candidate will ensure that all vendor ledgers are reconciled, payment disputes are resolved, and financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Management & Follow-up:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all vendors regarding outstanding dues and payments.
  • Regularly follow up with vendors via phone and email to coordinate bills, payment schedules, and account statements.
  • Perform monthly vendor ledger reconciliations and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
  • Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date day-to-day accounting records using software like Tally Prime or Busy.
  • Invoicing & Billing: Process purchase invoices, generate sales vouchers, and verify Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility.
  • Banking Operations: Perform regular bank reconciliations, monitor daily cash flows, and prepare payment schedules.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with or manage the preparation and filing of monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B) and TDS calculations.
  • Key Skills & QualificationsEducation: Graduate degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 4 years of proven experience in accounting and vendor coordination.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain professional and polite relationships with vendors.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel (specifically for maintaining financial tracking sheets).
  • Taxation Knowledge: Basic to intermediate knowledge of GST, TDS, and invoice-matching procedures.
