Accounts Payable

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable to lead and manage the end-to-end AP process. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience with SAP FICO, and the ability to drive process efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable Operations

Oversee invoice processing, vendor master management, and payment runs for domestic and international vendors.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices in line with company policy and PO/GRN matching.

Manage month-end and year-end AP closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals.

2. SAP FICO Management

Handle day-to-day transactions in SAP FI-AP module: FB60, FB65, F-44, FBL1N, F110.

Perform GR/IR clearing, vendor reconciliations, and troubleshoot posting errors in SAP.

Work with the FICO functional team on system enhancements, testing, and user support.

3. Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements related to AP.

Maintain strong internal controls and support internal/external audits.

Prepare MIS reports, ageing analysis, and vendor statements for management review.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for vendor queries and escalations.

Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Negotiate payment terms and drive vendor relationship improvements.

5. Process Improvement

Identify process gaps and lead automation initiatives within AP.

Drive initiatives to reduce cycle time, duplicate payments, and manual interventions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

B.Com graduate. M.Com/MBA Finance/CA Inter is an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a mid-to-large organization.

Strong working knowledge of SAP FICO, specifically FI-AP module.

Good understanding of Indian taxation - GST, TDS, withholding tax.

Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in shared services or SSC environment is a plus.
