Barista – Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)

1. Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages as per standard recipes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Operate coffee machines and equipment efficiently.

2. Customer Service

• Greet customers politely and take orders accurately.
• Provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.

3. Hygiene & Cleanliness

• Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, coffee machines, and seating area.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure proper storage of ingredients.

4. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Inform supervisor about shortages or replenishment needs.
• Minimize wastage of materials.

5. Cash Handling & Billing

• Process customer payments (cash/digital) accurately.
• Maintain proper billing records and daily cash reconciliation.

6. Equipment Maintenance

• Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and tools regularly.
• Report any malfunction or repair requirements.

7. Upselling & Sales

• Promote special items, combos, or seasonal beverages.
• Achieve daily/weekly sales targets where applicable.

8. Team Coordination

• Work closely with team members for smooth operations.
• Support during peak hours and maintain service speed.
