Job Description

What makes this role different from a typical BDM job:• You are not managing one channel — you are managing multiple channels, account types with high stakes and important stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

A. Account Management

• Own a portfolio of B2B and ecommerce accounts as the primary point of contact.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with buyers, category managers, and procurement heads.

• Conduct regular business reviews — monthly account reports, QBRs, and performance calls.

• Handle escalations, operational issues, and client queries — resolve without always escalating to the founder.

• Drive account-level revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and new product introductions.

• Maintain a CRM / account health tracker for every assigned account.

B. Project Management & Internal Coordination

• Act as the internal coordinator between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance for all account deliverables.

• Track open action items across every account — ensure nothing is overdue without a status.

• Ensure timely dispatch, invoicing, and fulfillment coordination for B2B accounts.

C. Customer Engagement & Communication

• Create and send monthly and seasonal customer mailers — product launches, festive promotions, new catalogs.

• Maintain a live customer database and engagement calendar.

D. Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare and share weekly and monthly account performance reports for the Founder.

• Track DRR, MRR, sell-through, account health metrics, ratings, reviews, and return rates across accounts.

• Analyze customer complaints, negative ratings, & return data — flag patterns & recommend fixes.

• Maintain a simple business dashboard for assigned accounts using Google Sheets.

E. Marketplace & Ecommerce Operations

• Coordinate with the internal e-commerce team and external agencies

• Understand marketplace terminology — listing health, suppressed ASINs, ACOS, buy box, sell-through — well enough to spot issues and escalate correctly.

• Support new platform onboarding, catalogue uploads, pricing updates, and inventory coordination.

• Monitor account health dashboards and flag anomalies proactively.


Skills & Qualifications

Must-have

• Hands on knowledge of Ecommerce terms

• Proven track record of managing B2B client relationships or marketplace accounts end-to-end.

• Excellent English — verbal and written. Business email writing must be natural, not laboured.

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint — pivot tables, vlookups, charts, client-ready decks.

• High ownership mindset — you close loops, you don't pass them.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a startup environment.

Strongly preferred

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience on Amazon.

• Experience with quick commerce platforms — Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart.

B2B sales or corporate account management experience.
