CAD Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate CAD drawings, fitting drawings, and STL files for product development and prototyping.
• Convert buyer references, sketches, images, and concepts into production-ready technical drawings.
• Develop detailed product specifications including dimensions, material details, construction methods, and finishing requirements.
• Work closely with the sampling and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable.
• Prepare 3D models and renderings for internal review and client presentations when required.
• Suggest design improvements and alternative solutions to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and production efficiency.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and product development files.
• Support new product development initiatives and trend-based design projects.
• Coordinate with international buyers and internal teams during the sampling and approval process.
• Create drawings that consider stone characteristics, machining limitations, packaging requirements, and production costs.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar platforms.
• Experience creating STL files for CNC machining, 3D printing, or manufacturing applications.
• Strong understanding of product dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Good design sense with an eye for proportion, aesthetics, and functionality.
• Prior experience in home décor, furniture, handicrafts, stone products, kitchenware, tableware, or lifestyle products preferred.
• Ability to interpret buyer references and translate them into practical, production-ready designs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of materials such as marble, stone, wood, metal, brass inlay, and related manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet development timelines.
