Collections Executive

Job SummaryThe Collection Executive is responsible for managing and recovering outstanding dues from customers or clients on behalf of the organization. The role involves contacting debtors, negotiating repayment terms, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring collections are handled professionally and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesCollections & Recovery

• Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication to follow up on overdue payments
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlement agreements with defaulting customers
• Meet monthly and quarterly collection targets set by management
• Initiate escalation procedures for high-risk or long-overdue accounts

Account Management

• Maintain and update debtor account information accurately in the system
• Prepare aging reports and track the status of all assigned accounts
• Reconcile payments received against outstanding balances
• Coordinate with the finance team for posting and adjusting payments

Customer Interaction

• Handle customer queries and disputes related to outstanding invoices or EMIs
• Provide customers with account statements, notices, and repayment schedules
• Maintain a professional and empathetic approach during all interactions

Legal & Compliance

• Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws and internal policies
• Prepare documentation for legal action when necessary
• Coordinate with legal teams for cases moving to litigation or arbitration

Reporting

• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports to the manager
• Flag high-risk accounts and recommend provisioning or write-offs when required
