The Commercial Business Partner to Head- Customer Engagement serves as a strategic partner and "force multiplier," responsible for driving the commercial agenda, overseeing high-stakes initiatives, and ensuring the leadership team operates at peak efficiency. This role bridges the gap between strategic vision and tactical execution across clusters to drive marketing, sales, market access, and strategy adoption.
Your Opportunity
Integrated Planning: Support the CE Head in the annual, cycle and monthly business review cycles.
Rhythm of the Business: Design and manage the cadence of Monthly and cycle Business Reviews
Decision Support: Synthesize complex commercial analytics into concise executive briefings for rapid decision-making.
Financial Liaison: Partner with BISV (Finance) team to monitor the commercial P&L and optimise resource allocation across the portfolio.
Commercial Readiness: Act as the central coordinator for DA strategy and commercial excellence, ensuring to achieve cross-functional milestones
Special Projects: Spearhead high-priority projects to achieve annual business plan
Stakeholder Management: Represent the Commercial Leader in internal forums; manage relationships across the matrix model
Internal Messaging: Ensure the commercial vision is clearly communicated to the field force and internal stakeholders.
KPIs:
Strategy Execution Rate: % of strategic milestones met for top-tier commercial initiatives.
Decision Velocity: Measurable reduction in time from problem identification to finalized executive decision.
Organizational Alignment: Qualitative and quantitative scores on how well the commercial strategy is understood across the field and home office.
Who you are
Education: Bachelors degree in Life Sciences and Business; MBA, PharmD, or PhD strongly preferred.
Experience: 7-10+ years of progressive experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry.
Background: Proven track record in Brand Management, Commercial Excellence, or Management Consulting.
Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ), political savvy, and the ability to influence without direct authority.
