🛠️ Summary of Required Technical Skills

1. Advanced Soldering & Rework (Hardware Level)

• BGA & SMD Rework: Precision soldering of Ball Grid Array (BGA) ASIC chips and minuscule Surface Mount Devices (resistors, capacitors, MOSFETs).
• Thermal Profiling: Using hot air stations, preheaters, and reflow ovens at exact temperatures to prevent PCB warping or chip burnout.
• Micro-soldering: Working under a repair microscope to fix torn pads, broken traces, and jumper wires.

2. Diagnostic & Testing Mastery

• Signal Tracing: Reading schematics to trace critical hash board signal lines (CLK, TX, RX, BO, RST) and locate the exact point of interruption.
• Test Fixture Operation: Setting up and operating control board test rigs (jigs) to run Linux-based test scripts (PT1/PT3) to pinpoint faulty chips.
• Equipment Proficiency: Expert use of digital multimeters, oscilloscopes (for ripple and signal integrity), DC programmable power supplies, and transistor testers. [1, 2, 3, 4]

3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Circuitry Knowledge

• SMPS Architecture: Deep understanding of Switched-Mode Power Supplies (e.g., Bitmain APW12, APW17, WhatsApper PSUs).
• High-Voltage Safety: Knowledge of discharging high-voltage capacitors safely and troubleshooting AC-to-DC conversion stages.
• Component-Level PSU Repair: Troubleshooting and replacing blown PFC (Power Factor Correction) MOS tubes, rectifier bridges, PWM controllers, drive diodes, and optocouplers.

4. Firmware & Software Competency

• EEPROM Flashing: Reading, writing, and flashing PIC/EEPROM chips on hash boards to match serial IDs and hash configurations.
• SD Card Flashing: Creating recovery TF cards to flash or upgrade miner control board firmware.
