Housekeeping / Utility

A housekeeping utility worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of public areas, back-of-house zones, and facilities. Core duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waste disposal, sanitizing restrooms, and ensuring all areas strictly adhere to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; polish brass fixtures; dust and wipe down surfaces, windows, and furniture.
• Waste Management: Empty, clean, and line all trash cans, and ensure garbage is properly separated for disposal.
• Restroom & Amenity Upkeep: Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and showers. Monitor supply levels and replenish paper products, hand towels, and soap.
• Equipment Operation: Safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate heavy-duty floor care equipment, always following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
• Reporting: Identify and report maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, plumbing leaks) to management.
• Guest/Client Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor, answer inquiries, and provide basic directions or assistance when requested.

Requirements & Skills

• Physical Stamina: The role is highly demanding; candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
• Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health codes, proper chemical dilution, and safety data sheets (SDS).
