Sora Lights is a premium decorative and architectural lighting brand. We make handcrafted pendant lights, wall sconces, and floor lamps for designers, architects, and hospitality spaces across India. Craftsmanship and finish are everything to us — every piece that leaves our workshop has to look beautiful up close.

About the role

We're looking for a skilled karigar who can make high-quality lampshades and decorative lighting pieces by hand. You'll work closely with the founder to bring our designs to life, with care and a sharp eye for detail.

What you'll do

• Make lampshades of different shapes and sizes — drum, fabric, pleated, pendant, and custom designs
• Cut, wrap, stitch, and finish fabric, linen, and other materials neatly over shade frames
• Build and fit shade frames, rings, and struts; assemble decorative pendant and sconce parts
• Do basic fitting of hardware and fittings (holders, rods, wiring as needed)
• Follow design samples and simple drawings to get sizes, proportions, and finish exactly right
• Check every finished piece for quality — no glue marks, loose threads, uneven edges, or visible defects
• Keep your work area, tools, and materials clean and organised

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience making lampshades, or strong related craft experience (tailoring, upholstery, soft furnishings, framing, or similar handwork)
• Excellent hand skills and patience — neat, clean, precise finishing
• A good eye for proportion, symmetry, and detail
• Care with materials and the ability to work to a high standard consistently
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time at our New Delhi workshop

Good to have

• Experience with decorative or premium lighting products
• Basic understanding of wiring/electrical fitting for lamps
• Ability to suggest improvements in technique or finish
