Pattern Master / Cutting Master – Women's Couture (Lehenga, Gown, Indo-Western)

About Mohur

Mohur is a premium Indian couture label creating contemporary luxury lehengas, gowns and occasion wear with a strong focus on craftsmanship, fit and finish.

We're building a design-first atelier and are looking for an experienced Pattern & Cutting Master to join our founding team.

• ResponsibilitiesDevelop accurate patterns from designer sketches and reference images.
• Take measurements and create first patterns for:
• Bridal Lehengas
• Corset Blouses
• Indo-Western Sets
• Shararas
• Gowns
• Jackets & Capes
• Expert fabric cutting with minimum wastage.
• Understand garment balance, fitting and proportions.
• Conduct trial fittings and modify patterns accordingly.
• Guide sample tailors during construction.
• Improve garment fit and silhouette before production.
• Maintain pattern library for future collections.
• Work closely with the designer during product development.
• Ensure luxury-level finishing standards.

Requirements

✔ Minimum 5 years experience as Pattern Master/Cutting Master

✔ Experience with:

• Bridal Wear
• Designer Lehengas
• Couture Blouses
• Corsets
• Western Pattern Making
• Indo-Western Garments

✔ Strong understanding of:

• Draping
• Pattern Development
• Fabric Behaviour
• Measurements
• Luxury Garment Construction

✔ Should be able to develop garments from photographs or design references.

✔ Must have experience handling premium fabrics like:

• Organza
• Chiffon
• Crepe
• Silk
• Satin
• Velvet
• Net
• Tissue

Preferred ExperienceExperience with brands such as:

• Kalki
• Aza
• Frontier Raas
• Pernia's Pop-Up
• Papa Don't Preach
• Seema Gujral
• Tarun Tahiliani
• Anita Dongre
• Jade by Monica & Karishma
• Local couture boutiques
