Job Description
Plumber duties and responsibilities
• Install and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Install, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, pumps, and fittings.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Read and interpret plumbing drawings and blueprints.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, and faults.
• Install and repair toilets, washbasins, sinks, faucets, showers, and water heaters.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
• Respond quickly to emergency plumbing issues.
• Coordinate with electricians, civil workers, and other maintenance staff when required.
• Keep the work area clean and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Replace damaged pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures as needed.
