Production Supervisor

Role overview-

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our shop floor operations end-to-end — from raw material readiness to finished bag dispatch. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep knowledge of leather goods manufacturing, strong team management, and a sharp eye for workflow efficiency.

1. Production planning and scheduling

• Plan and schedule daily production based on custom order job cards
• Sequence orders by material similarity and complexity (L1–L3) to minimize changeover time
• Ensure target output of 250 bags/day is consistently met.

2. Floor Supervision & Team Management

Directly manage 6 helpers across cutting, stitching, finishing, and assembly stations

• Define clear roles, daily targets, and accountability for each helper
• Conduct daily briefings, track attendance, and report on team performance.

3.Quality control

• Implement and enforce stage-wise quality checks (cut, stitch, edge finish, final inspection)
• Reduce rework and rejection rates through root-cause analysis
• Maintain ENSAC’s luxury quality standards across all custom order.

4.Machine & Equipment Management

• Oversee operation and basic maintenance of 18 machines
• Coordinate with the founder on priority machine investments (hydraulic clicking press, skiving machine, edge paint machine, etc.)
• Minimize machine downtime through preventive maintenance schedules.

Requirements-

Work Experience-

• 5–10 years in leather goods / handbag / accessories manufacturing
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or floor leadership role Hands-on experience with custom or made-to-order production preferred.

Skills & Knowledge-

• Deep understanding of leather cutting, stitching, skiving, edge finishing, and assembly
• Familiarity with machines: clicking press, skiving machine, industrial sewing machines, edge paint applicators
• Strong grasp of production scheduling and workflow optimization
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel or any production tracking tool.

• Detail-oriented with high ownership mentality
