SME is a part of Wholesale Banking that manages lending business for Small & Medium enterprises with a turnover between 50 to 500 CR. The business is the fastest growing vertical within Wholesale Banking at Kotak and has been growing at a fast rate with a base of 3000 + customers.

 

Job Responsibilities of a Recovery Manager in SME Business:

• The Recovery Manager will be a part of the Stressed and Special Assets team in the SME Business for the West and South region. The role will be based in Mumbai and will report to the National Recovery Head – SME
• Working out appropriate resolution of NPA accounts of the SME Business through OTS, Consent Sale or auction
• End to end handling of NPA Accounts from handover till closure
• Writing quality note for approval for competent authorities
• Assessment of properties mortgaged, valuation and its vetting and disposal through mutual consent/public auction
• Working out reduction arrangement in gross exposure in such accounts
• Manage internal & RBI audit of NPA accounts
• Adept in writing CRAN Modification Reports (CMR)
• Coordination with Legal, Fincon, CAD, Compliance and ensuring timely recovery action
• Facilitating information and documents to Legal Department for legal action
• MIS data for a meaningful analysis of work done/projections
• Ensuring processes and controls

 

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of SME lending business in West and South markets and recovery processes 
• Basic idea of legal framework involved in recovery accounts like SARFAESI, DRT and IBC
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong interpersonal skills to work in collaborative matrix structures
• Role would require extensive travel in the assigned region
• Graduate/Post-graduate/MBA 
• 10 + years of experience across recovery, business, credit etc.
