Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

Temple Street Restaurant is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Restaurant Staff. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience, and supporting various restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Front of House:

• Customer Service: Greet and seat customers, provide menus, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Order Taking: Accurately take orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Serving: Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Table Management: Clear and reset tables, manage reservations, and ensure efficient table turnover.
• Billing: Prepare and present bills, handle cash and card transactions.

Back of House:

• Food Preparation: Assist in food preparation under the guidance of chefs, including basic cooking and prep tasks.
• Kitchen Support: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, wash dishes, and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and stored correctly.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong teamwork abilities.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Attributes: Friendly, reliable, customer-focused, and able to handle pressure with a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
