Retail Sales Associate

           1. Key Responsibilities

·        Customer Service & Sales

·        Greet and assist customers on the sales floor

·        Understand customer needs and suggest suitable products/offers

·        Promote new launches, combos, and store promotions to increase basket size

·        Handle billing at POS counter when required

·        Resolve basic customer complaints and escalate complex issues to store manager

             2. Merchandising & Store Up

·        keepArrange and refill shelves, displays, and gondolas as per planogram

·        Check expiry dates, MRP, and remove damaged/expired stock - FIFO/FEFO

·        Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper signage in assigned section

·        Ensure correct price tags, barcodes, and offer displays

3. Stock & Inventory

·        Receive stock, check quantities against invoice, and stack in storage

·        Do daily stock counts and report shortages/excess to supervisor

·        Assist in inward/outward movement of goods and inter-store transfers

·        Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving items and inform for reordering

4. Operations & Compliance

·        Follow all safety, hygiene, and FSSAI norms for food items

·        Operate POS, weighing scale, and card machines

·        Handle cash, UPI, and card payments accurately

·        Follow store opening/closing procedures

·        Maintain loss prevention - watch for shoplifting, damages

·        Required Skills & Qualifications

·        Education: 10+2 pass minimum; Graduate preferred for supermarkets

·        Experience: 0-2 years in retail/FMCG. Freshers can apply

·        Technical: Basic math for billing, know POS/billing software, barcode scanner

·        Product Knowledge: Staples, FMCG, dairy, frozen items

·        Soft Skills: Communication in local language + basic English/Hindi, patience, active listening

·        Physical: Ability to stand 10-11 hrs

·        Other: Customer-first attitude, team player, target-oriented
