Transport Manager

Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly reliable and execution-driven Transport Manager who will own end-to-end fleet operations. This role requires someone who can take complete responsibility for ensuring that vehicles are running efficiently at all times — from hiring drivers and managing daily operations to building processes, maintaining vehicles, and solving on-ground issues.

This is not a desk role. You will be the backbone of operations.

Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Fleet Operations

• Ensure maximum uptime and utilization of all vehicles
• Oversee daily movement, scheduling, and allocation of vehicles
• Monitor performance and resolve operational bottlenecks in real time

2. Team Building & Management

• Hire, train, and manage drivers and operations staff
• Build a dependable on-ground operations team
• Enforce discipline, accountability, and performance standards

3. Process & System Development

• Create and implement SOPs for fleet operations
• Build systems for tracking vehicle usage, performance, and efficiency
• Continuously improve operational workflows for scale

4. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance

• Ensure timely servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance
• Maintain documentation, permits, insurance, and compliance
• Minimize downtime through proactive planning

5. Vendor & Fuel Management

• Manage fuel consumption, costs, and optimization
• Coordinate with vendors, garages, and service providers
• Negotiate and control operational expenses

6. Crisis & Problem Solving

• Handle breakdowns, driver issues, delays, and emergencies
• Take ownership of problems until resolved
• Be available and responsive when operations demand it
